GRP plate: GFK-plate
The flooring of a bimobil cabin employs a 50 mm (2 in) high aluminium pipe grid frame, filled with insulating hard foam.
A 10 mm (0.4 in) water proof plywood plate forms the top side of this floor composite plate. The 1 mm (0.04 in) thick GRP layer on the bottom side of the floor plate prevents any kind of contact corrosion by the steel frame of the base vehicle and renders under-floor coating unnecessary.
With certain models the hard foam insulation includes plastic tubes for routing electrical wires or air-heated water-pipes.
The 61 mm (2.4 in) thick, rugged composite floor board with integrated aluminium pipe grid frame is an exclusive bimobil brand feature, which ensures the superior stiffness and rigidity of bimobil cabins.
Thanks to this construction all bimobil cabins are self-supporting. Therefore, they can be mounted on all foreseen vehicles without intermediate frame or equipped as removable quick-mount cabins.
Also, changing a permanently fixed cabin to a new base vehicle is possible any time.
The cabin is bolted through the floor plate to the chassis of the base vehicle. Also, the safety belts are anchored on the floor plate.
